Key Pieces to Wear this Winter 21
In this blog I have gathered for you some of the main key styles that are trending this winter and compared them to Baruni pcs. The information we have gathered comes from leading fashion magazines like Vogue, Glamour, Harper, etc. As we are gradually going back to our new norms, this season is about making statement looks. However, comfort is still a main element.
As a working mom I always believe and make sure that comfort is one of the main factors that I focus on when I design any of the Baruni outfits, whether it’s a maxi, midi or short dress and whether it’s a formal or more casual dress.
Let’s get started…. 1.Knits.We have used a luxurious knit fabric mixed with lurex, for extra glamour, and created a few outfits from this fabric to suit different occasions. The fabric is soft and drapes nicely and wrinkle free, so don’t forget to include it in your packing for your next travel.
Maxi dress with contrasting gathered sleeves is infused with a glamorous 70s spirit. It has a wide belt and contrasting ruffle details. It can be worn off-the-shoulder, as the neckline is elasticated. And let’s not forget the side pockets!
The dress is chic, glamorous, comfortable, suits different body shapes and can be worn different ways, on shoulder, off shoulder, with or without the tie.
Baruni’s favourite… yes shirt dresses… I love shirt dresses. Not just that, it is a knit shirt dress. It’s one of my favourites from this collection. This dress can be easily worn for different times of day because of its length – midi dress. Wear it with boots,
stilettos or with a chunky sandal for an informal look. Wear it conservatively or show as much legs as you want – the choice is yours. The dress features a glove-like cuff, a tie and side pockets.
Metallic shawl, trimmed with ruffle details along the edges. You can wear it on top of evening dress, casual dress and with jeans for a casual look.
There are more outfits we created from this fabric, but I will let you browse the collection to discover the rest. For now, let's move to the next trend.
2.ShimmeryFor this we have used two fabrics – jacquard with lurex and a metallic-coated fabric.
a. Jacquard fabric. By now I’m sure you know that most of the jacquard fabrics we use in our collections are exclusive to Baruni.
Belted jacket/dress with coat collar, side pockets and contrasting pleated slim sleeves, for extra comfort and a young funky look. You can wear it as a dress or as a jacket, for the office and for meeting with friends.
Our classic sleeveless shirt dress – beautiful, elegant, and timeless with a wow factor. It is a formal dress for your special occasion. Nevertheless, you can wear it, less formally, with trousers and unbutton (the lower part only -😊)
b. Metallic-coated fabric. We have used this fabric in different ways – partially combined with satin and full on for a wow kind of look. It’s a rich fabric that gives the impression of a rich city girl kind of mood.
Midi dress with turtle neckline, contrast piping details and gathered puff sleeves. Cut for a slim fit through the bodice and falls fluidly from the waist. Leen Abou Shaar (influencer) wore it nicely.
Metallic gown with gathered sleeves and self-tie at the waist. Cut for a slim fit through the bodice and falls fluidly from waist to floor.
I love this suit. It is a "let's go out and have fun" kind of suit. The flared pants are so "in" this season – that combined with the metallic fabric is a must for from this collection. We are already out of stock, and we will only make it to order.
3. MinisFor this we have made using a two-tone cotton blend with denim-effect fabric, since denim is also big this season.
Button-down mini dress, highlighted with contrasting top stitches along its seams. It has a corset-like waist band that flares to a mini skirt. You can wear it solo or with a matching pants for layering effect and a funky look.
4. Midis
We made them in different fabrics with mainly flared and A-line shapes. With both sleeveless and gathered sleeves.
There are a few more styles that are trending this season, but we have mentioned only those relevant to the Baruni collection. we hope you enjoyed reading our blog and of course please do get in touch if you want any styling tips and/or if you want us to write about a specific subject related to Baruni.
Bye for now and don’t forget to keep smiling – as it never goes out of style 😊
